Driving an electric Chevrolet?

Bolt EV and Bolt EUV, Equinox EV, Blazer EV and Silverado EV do not need engine oil changes. Chevrolet’s EV maintenance schedule still calls for a tire rotation every 7,500 miles, a new cabin air filter at the owner’s-manual interval, brake fluid every five years, coolant at the owner’s-manual interval, and a multi-point inspection. There is no electric-model guide here yet; call Service at 732-907-1562 for your EV’s schedule and pricing.

What maintenance do I need? The short answer

Start with your vehicle’s Oil Life System and the maintenance schedule in your owner’s manual (every model year is posted at Chevrolet owner’s manuals and guides). The Oil Life System tells you when the oil and filter are due. Most gas Chevrolets also call for a tire rotation about every 7,500 miles, with a check of the brakes, fluids, tires and suspension at the same visit.

Between those visits, the schedule adds the engine air filter and cabin air filter (by mileage or when the vehicle asks), brake fluid on a time interval, spark plugs at the interval GM sets for your engine, and engine coolant and transmission fluid at the manual’s intervals. If you tow, drive mainly in heavy city traffic in hot weather or in hilly terrain, make mostly short trips, or drive in dusty conditions, the manual’s severe-service schedule applies and some items come due sooner.

Each model guide above lists Bridgewater Chevrolet’s recommended mileage packages with prices, so you can see what a visit typically includes and costs before you book.
