Yes, for every gas-powered Trax, plus tax, because each engine takes 4.2 quarts. The grade is dexos1 5W-30 for the 2015–2020 1.4L Turbo and the 2024 1.2L Turbo, and dexos1 0W-20 for the 2022 1.4L Turbo and the 2025 and newer 1.2L Turbo; for 2021, Chevrolet lists 0W-20 for the LE2 engine (eighth VIN character M) and 5W-30 for the LUV engine (B). Your advisor will verify the grade and estimate for your model year and engine before work begins.
Are these mileage packages required by Chevrolet?
No. These are Bridgewater-recommended packages, not a universal Chevrolet factory schedule. A package may include additional preventive services. Your advisor will review your vehicle’s factory schedule, condition and service history before recommending work.
Which Trax generation do I have?
There are two. The 2015–2022 Trax uses a 1.4L Turbo engine and was offered with front- or all-wheel drive. The 2024 and newer Trax uses a 1.2L Turbo engine and is front-wheel drive only; there was no 2023 model year. The oil grade Chevrolet specifies depends on the model year, as listed above. Your model year and VIN identify the generation, and your advisor will confirm the correct service for your engine before work begins.
Does an AWD Trax need different service?
It can. Only the 2015–2022 Trax was offered with all-wheel drive; the 2024 and newer Trax is front-wheel drive only. AWD configurations can have additional drivetrain service needs, and the all-wheel-drive lines in the 45,000 and 90,000-mile packages apply only to AWD models. The applicable fluids and intervals depend on the model year and operating conditions. Ask your advisor which AWD services apply and whether they are included in your package estimate.
When does my Trax need new spark plugs?
Chevrolet’s maintenance schedule calls for new spark plugs every 60,000 miles on the 1.4L Turbo from the 2016 model year and on the 1.2L Turbo (2024 and newer). For a 2015 Trax, your advisor will confirm the interval from your owner’s manual. Our 60,000- and 100,000-mile packages include the plug replacement when it is due for your engine.
