The standard engine on the Silverado 2500 HD is a 6.6L V8 gas engine that supplies 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 464 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. You can achieve 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm and 975 lb-ft of torque at 1600 rpm by upgrading to the available 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel engine. This engine also increases your truck’s towing capacity to a maximum of 22,070 pounds.

The CornerStep rear bumper is a convenient exterior feature that helps you get in and out of the Silverado’s truck bed without falling. This bumper has open spaces on each corner, with textured footpads inside. This gives you the perfect space to insert your foot for more traction when you climb up or down from the cargo box.
