Volt looks like nothing else out there. Everything is deliberately crafted.
Combining smarts with power, Volt goes from 0 to 60 in 8.4 seconds.4 Give credit to its 1.5L direct injected high-efficiency engine and two electric motors. It runs on an electric charge and generates additional energy through a gas-powered generator when the battery runs out —giving you the confidence to go as far as you want. It’s elegant, electric power that’s unstoppable.
Up to 53-mile5 battery range
Up to 420 miles5 of total range with a full charge
1,100 miles6 between fill-ups
Advanced safety features that help guide and protect
With its innovative safety systems and advanced response technology, Volt was designed to help protect you before, during and after a possible collision.
Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Forward Safety Awareness
Volt features 10 air bags1 and smart sensors designed to adjust frontal air bag inflation according to the severity of a crash.
When the air bags deploy2 built-in sensors can automatically alert OnStar and a readily available advisor will connect to your vehicle to provide assistance. Even if you don’t respond, an OnStar Advisor can use GPS technology to pinpoint your exact location and request that emergency help is sent right away.3
Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather and road conditions may affect feature performance. Read the vehicle’s owner’s manual for more important feature limitations and information.
Two charging options
Want to know where you’re using the most energy or how much charge you have left in the battery? All of that valuable real-time information is housed on the color touch-screen and Driver Information Center behind the steering wheel. Volt can be recharged using the included 120-volt portable cord or the available 240-volt charging unit. The 240-volt charging unit is recommended for at-home charging convenience.
The available 240-volt charging unit can be professionally installed to fully recharge the battery in about 4.5 hours.7 There is also an included 120-volt portable charge cord8 that will charge the battery in approximately 13 hours.
Based on GPS data, a programmable “home” setting for charging allows you to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates when you’re plugged in at home. This setting will also allow Volt to immediately charge when plugging in away from home.
